How to fix a mispronounced word in text to speech

Find the exact line

Play the script once and note which line contains the mistake. If the line is very long, split it so the word can be tested without waiting for a whole paragraph. TTS Lines keeps the other generated clips while you work on this one.

A name may need a phonetic spelling; an acronym may work better as separated letters. The right spelling depends on the chosen language and voice, so keep the change local until you hear it.

Make one change at a time

Edit the word, regenerate that line, and compare the result. If it still sounds wrong, try a different spelling or shorter surrounding sentence. Do not assume punctuation alone will fix the reading.

For Hebrew, write digits as words. The local Hebrew engine flags digits rather than guessing how to speak them. Unpointed names may still have more than one reading.

Check the whole take

After the line sounds right alone, play the joined recording. The corrected word may alter the line's length or the handoff to the next speaker. Export a fresh MP3 or WAV, and update SRT captions if the timing changed.
